Courtney Paul
New York City
Courtney has over 9 years of personal training and group exercise experience at world-class health and fitness organizations. He is certified by the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT) and has impeccable movement techniques. Courtney worked for two years at David Barton Gym in Manhattan as a personal trainer and group instructor where he taught and tweaked the design of the following classes: Guns, Assolutely Abulous, Pain and Pleasure, Asphalt Abs, Spring Training, Lactic Acid Breakthrough (LAB), and Barton Biking. He authored Junk, a class that focused on legs, glutes, and abs, and Power Hour, a full-body workout with light weights. He also re-envisioned Rope Burn, a cardiovascular class with jump ropes and weights, and LAB, in which clients would pick two body parts and perform multiple drop-sets. The New York Post named the LAB class the “most hardcore class in the city.” Prior to working at David Barton Gym, Courtney was a trainer at Urban Body Fitness in Atlanta, GA where he taught abdominals and bootcamp classes.
Courtney has a degree in Visual Arts from Georgia Perimeter College and a degree in Graphic and Visual Arts from the University of New Orleans. He is a veteran sportsman with collegiate experience in cheerleading. As a trainer, Courtney insists on accountability and progress, while still bringing levity and fun to the workout.

Ngozi Anyanwu
New York City
Ngozi has been a personal and group exercise instructor for several years. She most recently trained at Equinox Fitness Club on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. She is an Equinox Fitness Club Tier II Trainer. Ngozi has taught a variety of group classes including cardio, full body strength, abs and conditioning. She trains many of her personal clients using only their natural body weight. Ngozi is also a certified kettlebell instructor and has an extensive background in boxing and powerlifting. Ngozi is an avid runner and also enjoys playing basketball. Ngozi has a great attitude and brings a lot of enthusiasm, creativity and energy to every one of her workouts. She is one of our most popular bootcamp instructors known for her challenging non-stop workout pace and her amazing personality.
Ngozi has a B.A. in theater arts from Point Park University. She also taught African dance in college. Ngozi is a talented actress and is currently pursuing her M.A. in theatre arts from New York University.

Tanya Chaly
New York City
Tanya comes to us from her native Australia and has been a successful personal and group trainer for several years. She is currently an instructor at Club H in New York City where she teaches Total Body Fitness, Power Pump, Cardio Pump, Kickboxing, Abs, sub Spin, and Rebounding. She also trains several personal clients. By background, Tanya is an athlete and has excelled in water sports. She has competed in two swim marathons. Tanya is very passionate about fitness and brings high energy to her workouts. She loves the dynamic of group fitness and gets great pleasure from helping people achieve their fitness goals.
Tanya is Aerobic & Fitness Association of America (AFFA) certified. She also holds certifications in Rebounding and Jump Rope. Tanya holds both a B.A. in Fine Arts and a post graduate degree in Fine Arts (painting) from the University of New South Wales, College of Fine Arts (UNSW COFA) in Sydney, Australia.

Whitney Jacobs
New York City
Whitney has been a successful personal trainer and group exercise instructor for many years. She currently trains at Equinox Fitness Club on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. She is Aerobic & Fitness Association of America (AFFA) certified and an EFTI Tier II Certified Trainer. Whitney is a lifelong athlete. She grew up playing soccer and is currently the head varsity girls soccer coach at Trevor Day School. Whitney is also a Pilates instructor and teaches Yoga through a company called Wing Span Arts which brings the arts and fitness education into the public school system. Whitney is also a former dance instructor for the Contemporary Dance Theatre in Ohio. Whitney is a tough bootcamp and Vinyasa yoga instructor and brings a ton of challenge and creativity to her workouts.
Whitney has a strong athletic background, graduating with a BFA in Dance from Ohio University. She studied choreography, performance, anatomy, kinesiology, somatic disciplines such as Pilates and Yoga, as well as nutrition and fitness.

Adriano Martins
New York City
Adriano comes to us from his native Brazil where he used to teach bootcamps on the beach for Reebok Sports Club in São Paulo. He has also been a group trainer for Compania Athletica. Adriano brings lots of enthusiasm and energy to his classes. Adriano studied exercise physiology, so he also has impeccable movement techniques and readily helps you make any corrections during your workouts.
Adriano received his B.S. in Exercise Physiology from São Paulo State University (UNESP), São Paulo, Brazil. He received his M.S. in Pharmacology and Physiology from the Medical Science Institute University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Campinas, SP, Brazil. And he received his Ph.D. in Human Physiology from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo (USP), São Paulo, Brazil. Adriano is currently doing his postdoctoral fellowship researching the molecular biology of calcium in skeletal and cardiac muscle at New Jersey Medical School.

Aubrie Dellinger
New York City
Aubrie has been part of the fitness industry for many years. She is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and has trained clients in conditioning, weight training, plyometrics and other various techniques. Aubrie has been a personal trainer and group fitness instructor at top New York City gyms such as Club H Fitness and Velocity Sports Performance. Her strong background in athletics includes playing Division I basketball in college where she was team captain, challenging her teammates to the edge on the court by leading them in team workouts on the court and in the weight room. Her basketball background drove her to pursue her career in fitness. From her team athletics experiences, she brings her “MVP” and “Most Spirited” attitude to her training.
Aubrie graduated from Manhattan College with a B.S. in Exercise Science. She took classes such as group fitness, team sports, exercise prescription, and exercise physiology. She worked just as hard on the court as she did off the court which makes her a very well rounded, educated trainer. Aubrie is also involved in the community, serving as a counselor for several basketball camps and volunteering for Special Olympics.

Nicole Caruth
New York City
Nicole has been a successful group fitness instructor and personal trainer for over 5 years. She currently instructs Spin and Rope Burn at the David Barton Gym (DBG) in Chelsea, where she has an excellent record with clients and a keen following. Before joining DBG, she served as the athletic trainer for the Bard College men’s volleyball team (NCAA Division III). Nicole holds certifications from the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and Mad Dogg Athletics. She brings a high level of professionalism and loads of energy to her classes, ensuring that people have a good time while exercising safely. As she works enthusiastically to help her clients reach their goals, she recently set one of her own: to complete her first triathlon by the end of 2009.
The California Bay Area native holds an M.A. in curatorial studies from Bard College, and a B.A. in art history from San Francisco State University. By day, she is a curator, writer and art critic, sometimes writing about food related issues. She is especially interested in food education, and teaching low-incomecommunities how to prepare healthy and affordable meals.

Brandon Acevedo

Brandon is a health and fitness specialist with over 10 years experience training clients to achieve their health and fitness goals. Brandon is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). Founded on Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do total body conditioning concepts, Vinyasa yoga, Mike Mentzer’s rational approach to muscular development, the NASM systematic approach, and his experience as a natural body building competitor and dancer, Brandon's approach is methodical, integrative, creative, dynamic and fun. His goal is to create functional bodies that are beautiful, streamlined and balanced, enhancing self image actualization, self awareness and a zest for life!
Brandon excels as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. He has trained and taught Body Sculpting, Kickboxing, Corrective Exercise and Fusion classes at New York City's top health clubs such as Equinox and David Barton Gym. Brandon holds a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Hunter College and is a practitioner of Ayn Rand's Objectivist philosophy. Charles Neal

Charles is a former American Gladiator. He was the 1991 American Gladiators Tour Champion and a member of the 1993 American Gladiator team. Charles has been a personal and group trainer for 19 years. His certifications include International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and Perform Better functional training series. Charles has specializations in performance training, stretching and kickboxing. He currently trains out of Club H in midtown Manhattan.

Christie Cahill
New York City
Christie has been part of the fitness industry for several years as a top group fitness instructor at Club H and Evolution, with classes including Urban Rebounding, Abs, Back & Butt, Pump, Absolutely, Conditioning, and Hip Hop. She is certified by the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). She also has certification in Urban Rebounding. Christie has an extensive background in dance with 20 years of experience and this is what guides her class structure for a high-intense, fun, but disciplined work out, with non-stop energy.
Christie holds a B.A. in dance from Dean College and trained at the Alvin Ailey School in the Independent Study Program. She has a business minor along with her dance degree, and her studies included anatomy, kinesiology, choreography, performance, pedagogy, and all genres of dance.

Heidi Tinter
New York City
Heidi has been training in New York City for 8 years and is a former nationally ranked athlete. She was a top level trainer at Equinox for 3 years before she started a private training business downtown in 2004. Some of her clients include a former Olympian, a former professional tennis player, marathon runners, and former college athletes. Heidi has a long list of athletic endeavors. She was a regional figure skating competitor for 8 years and an instructor for 2 years, downhill ski racer for 2 years, and captain of the NYU fencing team for 4 years, as well as a nationally ranked women’s saber fencer. Currently Heidi is a competitive runner with the New York Road Runners.
Heidi is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), certified USA Weightlifting level 1 coach, pre/post natal certified, and was a gait analyst for the New York Road Runners while at Equinox. Heidi holds a BA Honors in History from New York University.
